Service Terms & Conditions
1 Sample Handling & Destruction Policy
⚠️ Important — Please Read Carefully
The processes of PCB file cloning, BOM list extraction, and schematic diagram reverse engineering all require destructive analysis of your sample board(s). This means:
- Components may need to be removed (desoldered) from the board
- PCB layers may need to be separated or deconstructed
- The original sample will be physically altered during analysis
Regardless of whether the reverse engineering is successful or not, your original sample(s) cannot be returned in their original condition.
We will retain your sample(s) for a period of up to 3 months following project completion. During this period, you may contact us to arrange return shipping (at your cost). If we do not receive a return request from you within 3 months, we reserve the right to dispose of the sample(s) at our sole discretion.
2 PCB File Cloning Scope & Deliverables
What We Guarantee
We guarantee that the PCB file traces (i.e., the electrical connectivity relationships among all components) will faithfully reproduce the connections present on the sample board you provided.
Advance Notice Required
If your sample board has specific requirements regarding controlled impedance, trace width, trace spacing, dielectric properties, or other parametric constraints, you must inform us in advance. These requirements will be evaluated by our engineering team before we begin work. Requirements not disclosed in advance will not be taken into account during the cloning process, and we bear no liability for any resulting discrepancies.
Default File Format
Unless otherwise specified, all PCB files will be delivered in Altium Designer (AD10) format with the file extension .PCBDOC. If you require a different format (e.g., PADS, Allegro, Eagle, KiCad), please specify this when placing your order.
3 BOM List Scope & Limitations
We guarantee that the Bill of Materials (BOM) list will accurately reflect the components physically present on your sample board to the best of our ability. However, the following limitations apply:
How These Items Are Handled in Your BOM
In any of the above cases, the affected components will be listed in the BOM with their silkscreen marking code (if visible) or marked as “No Model Available”. We are not liable for any adverse consequences, production delays, procurement issues, or costs arising from incomplete or unidentifiable BOM entries. It is the client's responsibility to independently verify and source components that cannot be fully identified.
4 Legal Disclaimer & Compliance
⚠️ Limitation of Liability
We assume no responsibility and accept no liability for any legal disputes, claims, damages, or proceedings arising from or related to your order.
- Client's Sole Responsibility: The sample board, associated files, and program data you provide must be legally obtained and owned by you, or you must hold valid authorization from the rightful owner to commission our services.
- Permitted Use Only: All PCB files, schematics, BOM lists, and program data we produce (collectively, “Deliverables”) are provided solely for the purposes of research, technical improvement, and repair/maintenance. Any other use — including but not limited to commercial reproduction, resale, or distribution — is at your own risk.
- No Liability for Infringement: Should the use of our Deliverables result in any claim of intellectual property infringement, patent violation, trade secret misappropriation, or other legal action, the seller (PCBCloner) is entirely indemnified and held harmless. All such liability rests exclusively with the buyer.
By submitting a sample board or placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms without reservation.
5 Order Scope & After-Sales Policy
Scope of This Order
This order covers only the production and delivery of technical documentation files based on your sample board. Specifically, this includes the PCB file, schematic diagram, and/or BOM list as specified in your order confirmation.
This order does NOT include any of the following:
- PCB fabrication or board manufacturing
- Assembly, production, or mass manufacturing runs
- Functional testing, validation, or verification of the cloned design
- Ongoing technical support, troubleshooting, or consultation beyond file delivery
After-Sales & Corrections Policy
If, during your subsequent PCB fabrication or testing, you discover an error in our deliverables, you must provide a written, specific, and clearly documented problem description. Examples of acceptable problem descriptions include:
If — and only if — the error is clearly attributable to our copying/engineering mistake, we will correct the corresponding file(s) at no additional cost. We will not accept after-sales claims that:
- Lack a specific, verifiable problem description
- Do not identify the exact file, location, or component in error
- Are unsupported by objective evidence (photographs, measurements, comparison data)
- Relate to fabrication quality, assembly issues, or downstream production outcomes
Privacy Policy & Confidentiality Agreement
Your intellectual property and personal data are treated with the highest level of care.
6 Introduction & Scope
This Privacy Policy and Confidentiality Agreement ("Policy") governs the collection, use, processing, and protection of information by PCBCloner ("we", "us", or "our") in connection with our website (pcbcloner.com) and all PCB reverse engineering, cloning, schematic extraction, IC decryption, and related technical services (collectively, the "Services").
By contacting us, submitting project files, or using our Services, you ("Client" or "you") agree to the terms of this Policy. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our Services.
This Policy applies to all information received through email, WhatsApp, direct file transfer, physical shipment, or any other communication channel used in connection with our Services.
7 Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to provide our Services and communicate with you effectively. This includes:
- Contact Information: Name, email address, phone number, company name, and country/region — provided voluntarily when you reach out to us.
- Technical Files: PCB design files (Gerber, ODB++, BRD, SCH, etc.), board photographs, schematic diagrams, BOM lists, firmware binaries, and any other technical documentation you submit for the purpose of receiving our Services.
- Project Communications: Emails, chat messages, call notes, and other correspondence related to your project.
- Payment Information: Transaction records sufficient to fulfill billing obligations. We do not store full card numbers or banking credentials.
- Website Usage Data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referral sources — collected automatically via standard server logs and analytics tools.

8 Confidentiality of Technical Files & Intellectual Property
Our Core Confidentiality Commitment
We treat every PCB file, schematic, firmware image, and technical document you share with us as strictly confidential. We recognize that these materials may represent significant intellectual property and trade secrets. This commitment is absolute and is not contingent on the execution of a separate NDA.
Specifically, we commit to the following:
-
Non-Disclosure: Your technical files will never be disclosed, published, demonstrated, or described to any third party without your prior written consent, except where required by applicable law.
-
Use Limitation: Technical materials submitted by you will be used exclusively for the purpose of fulfilling your specific order and for no other purpose whatsoever.
